The Century Optics 4.5mm T1.9 is an ultra-wide, high-speed prime lens designed for Super-16 film and cropped S16mm digital sensors. The lens is a result of a custom wide-angle adapter, converting the original 6mm focal length dropping it to 4.5mm—making it one of the widest rectilinear lenses ever produced for this format. Unlike a fisheye, it preserves relatively straight lines across the frame, though with a touch of barrel distortion.
Originally built with film in mind, this lens also performs well on digital cameras. If you need an exceptionally wide field of view paired with a fast aperture, it’s an outstanding choice.
