In its new STORM family of LED monolights, of which the 1200x is the first, Aputure is debuting its breakthrough BLAIR chipset that features blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red LEDs to deliver higher brightness levels and color accuracy levels. Rated 95 for both CRI and TLCI standards, the light also scores an 87 SSI rating at 3200 and 5600K color temperatures, and the multicolor diodes improve the light's color-matching abilities. The full CCT range of 2500 to 10,000K is enhanced with green-magenta color correction for advanced white-point control, and the unit's daylight 5600K output reaches 202,500 lux at 3.3' when used with the included 45° reflector.
The STORM 1200x comes with a controller that enables advanced dimming, control, and functionality. Stepless dimming is available from .1 to 100%, and flicker-free, color-accurate operation is possible even at the light's lowest output.
